A rising star? She’s one of the best ballerinas in the world! Already a legend

Francesca Hayward, Yasmine Naghdi and Akane Takada can be considered the Royal Ballet's "rising stars". Natalia Osipova has been on the spotlight for a while now, considering she used to be a Bolshoi Prima. She's one of the most famous faces - if not THE most famous - in the company since 2014!

"Rising star"? She was already a star when she joined the RB

Natalia Osipova has been at the Royal Ballet for years now. And Zenaida has only just recently retired...I think they already know each other...

Yo. She was a star way before RB. Show some respect for the Russian school. She's was a rising star a decade ago.

I’m an American, I live in Chicago and I have been a fan of Natalia for a decade. Rising star my foot, she’s a super star!

Osipova is not a rising star. She was already a world famous ballerina long before joining the Royal Ballet.

Why is every single comment about the rising star description? Ok, we get it. Can we focus on how beautiful Natalia's interpretation was?

Saw her last night in Swan Lake at the ROH. She brought the house down. Great charisma. I am in no position to judge or compare her technique, as I have had no ballet education or training, but it looked pretty darned good to me.

She has been a world star before joining royal ballet.

Natalie Osipova ... is captivating. She radiates the character and the feeling so well - and we're lucky to be able to witness it!

in my opinion, natalia is an outstanding dancer.in this the dying swan, she performed in different way, showing the swan was struggling with the death.it is very powerful.

I absolutely love this version. So intense, so emotional, so really like an animal in its last hours. For me it's one of the best, I've ever seen! Amazing that so many people seem to hate it. Well, I guess there's no accounting for tastes. What a beautiful, beautiful dancer!

Natalia Osipova is neither a "rising star" nor a young dancer !! She was a Prima in Bolshoi before joining the royal ballet, for years ! So no she isn't a "rising" star she is just a STAR! 💗

In the very original dance of 'The Dying Swan' Pavlova was not skinny like the ballet dancers of today, she was sort of plump which was fashionable at the time. Yet, Pavlova had something which is hard to obtain no matter how skilled of a dancer you may be. Pavlova was able to project her emotion into each dance, that is what made her a legendary dancer. Her version of 'Dying Swan' still brings me to tears because she danced like there was a real sense of the struggle between life and death (which in the end there was). Dancers like Lopatkina and Zakharova are excellent dancers in their own right and come very close to the portrayal of a dying swan. This dance is expressive, it doesn't matter your figure so long as you are able to convey the feeling and emotion. Osipova does this well, she has her own style. I think in the Ballet world, we need to remind ourselves to stop comparing one dancer to another, they are each individual and different, perfection is not in technique but in uniqueness.

Not amused with the use of "rising star" to describe Natalia as a dancer. She is well established in her career, very much respected in her community, and most beloved by ballet fans around the world. Natalia isn't a young, green ballerina by any stretch, and she has most certainly only added to the prestige accumulated by the Royal Ballet since its inception.

How is Osipova a rising star in any context? She's already internationally renowned within the ballet community and was a Bolshoi prima. This is an insult to not just Osipova but the actual rising stars within The Royal Ballet.

Besides stellar dancing, she totally conveyed the heartbreak of this piece. Deeply emotional.
