Russia Pulls Out Troops From Areas Of Ukraine's Kharkiv Region

Russia has confirmed it pulled back its forces from areas of Ukraine's Kharkiv region two weeks since the Ukrainian military launched a counter-offensive and recaptured around 1,000 square miles. NBC News' Meagan Fitzgerald reports on how significant the advancement is for Ukrainian troops nearly seven months into the war.

Those Russian troops were not pulled back and they did not retreat. They left most of their equipment and ammunition. This was a rout.

I've seen videos of civilians in these reclaimed areas crying their hearts out in joy. And practically throwing themselves at the Ukrainian soldiers as they roll into town. Expressing how they were living in absolute terror under Russian occupation, and that they prayed everyday for Ukrainian soldiers to save them.

I'm more willing to believe the civilians than any Russian bot who claim Ukraine are the bad guys. The Ukrainian civilians know who the real heroes are and who is the villain.

Ukraine had unity and pride in their country. Something Russia lacks. I read that as soon as even people in their normal jobs heard they were under attack went directly to an outpost to receive training to be able to help. They did not expect Ukraine’s people to stand up and fight so hard for their independence. I hope in America we are all able to do the same and put differences aside if it ever comes down to this for us. The people of Ukraine are truly honorable.
