Derek Carr Looking Comfortable In New Orleans Saints New Offense | Saints OTAs

While Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler may bring the clicks, Derek Carr is tasked with bringing the wins. And so far he looks good in the Saints' new offense. After gong 8/8 today with connections to Taysom Hill, Chris Olave and more, Carr looked comfortable and clean in the pocket (sans one Carl Granderson sack) through the Saints' second day of open OTAs.

The cheat motion has made its way to New Orleans which helps guys like Tyreek Hill gain a competitive advantage with his speed in 2023. Now Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed look to be next in taking advantage of what the move has to offer. Taysom Hill looked good and utilized all over yet again, Meanwhile two defensive UDFAs continue to impress.

Derek Carr is going to have a spectacular season for the Saints this year. The Saints will make the playoffs this year and possibly making the Super Bowl. I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens. Carr is a really good QB. All the doubts and negative comments will be silenced.

They been needing this change. Drew Brees ran a offense to his strengths, and no two QB have the same scheme. We ran that old offense way to long until everyone knew what we were running. Change it Good!

Carr has always been in so-so offensive schemes. Even Gruden’s offense wasn’t that great. Carr probably won’t throw for 4, 500+ yards unless that’s how they want to operate. I expect this offense to be an upgrade over the 49ers at some levels, including QB.
