Orisha Shango's Offerings and Taboos:
Sango, also often spelled Shango is the Yoruba Orisha(deity) of thunder, lightning, fire, justice drums and dance. He is probably the most popular male orisha and is both loved and feared.

Unlike other orishas, Shango must NOT be offered kola nut, he is given bitter kola instead. Whether it is for your morning iwure(prayers) or Ose Sango(Shango Worship Day), please never give Sango obi aka kola nut.

What Are Shango's Favorite Offerings?:
Amala and gbegiri, ram(his favorite meat), rooster and male goat are Sango's favorite foods and he should be fed these foods. Whether you are an initiate or have a consecrated Shango shrine, it is imporatant to give Sango the right foods.
