As a detective I don’t know a lot about music but I do know when someone is killing it

This song feels like:
2 assassins thinking about how they would possibly kill each other at a masquerade ball.
Once they both get there, they try to find each other subtly but end up kind of chasing each other around the masquerade party. They have to act natural as it is *against the law* to be an assassin.
they have to try to kill one another very carefully.
They do it by poisoning each other’s drinks after dancing together and as they both realize what each other has done they confess their love for one another and die in peace.
