Shawn Bradley (17pts/12rebs/6blks) vs. Bulls (1996)

This game comes from one of Shawn Bradley's best stints in the NBA, the 35 games after the 1996 All-Star game during which Bradley averaged 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. In fact, this particular game followed up two straight 10+ block games by Bradley. With another two in a row recorded in April, Bradley is the only player ever to have back to back 10 block games twice in one season.

This contest against the Bulls features some great rim protection by Shawn Bradley (to the point that Harper and Longley missed the rim when their jumpers were contested) who probably should have been credited with seven blocks. On the other end of the court, Bradley and Chris Childs teamed up for a few nice pick-and-rolls which Bradley finished off with dunks. March 13, 1996.

Bradley used to get posterized a lot, but you realize in retrospect its because he was never afraid to challenge everyone's shots/dunks. For all the times he got posterized, 5x more times he rejected shots. Bradley never backed down from a block attempt.

Thanks to the person who keeps giving me that one downvote minutes after almost every upload! I admire the effort.

Damn i just read about him being paralyzed...so sad. Wishing him the very best. This some good footage of vintage Jordan as well.

Bradley was probably the most underrated center, he had pretty amazing timing for blocks despite not being a great leaper, good touch around the rim, good FT shooter, and decent passer.

Elder Bradley! He was in my house many times as a kid, as he was was sent out to Australia as a missionary he frequented my house a lot. My grandmother would cook for him and he loved the hospitality, a great man..I remember being in shock that a man was so tall he had to bend over to get into door ways in our house

He wasn’t the best talented...but he is a legend and a great person who did lead the nba in being a great professional

Even if Bradley got dunked on 10x per season, he still blocked 2119 shots, so he won more often than he lost in the paint.

Dang, Jordan and the boyz had their hands full with this guy!

God the fact that someone like Bradley (a long, lanky stick of a center) chases for blocks and rebounds really makes me miss old NBA ball. Now I gotta suffer watching DeAndre Ayton "try" to defend a player

*Also sucks to hear what happened to him recently. Even though I had never heard of him before I see here that he was a talented athlete. Best wishes to him

Anybody that knows basketball knows that Bradley is a legit Basketball Player and not just an oversized freak like those other 7’7” people

Shawn Bradley doesn't get enough respect.

The 90s version/prototype of Wemby was Bradley, no doubt... Such an underrated player (especially before the injuries took over his skills, in other words, his whole Mavs tenure)... 🎩

Before kristaps porzingis there was Shawn Bradley

Reporters down played him cause he's LDS and didn't score 30 a game. Still a good center in my opinion.

I always liked the NBA oddballs, Bradley, Sim Bhular, Muresan. Always rooted for them and hope they succeed. Bradley was utilised pretty good here, but mostly he wasn't sadly.

True story Lucas Texas 2005. Was in my friends house in the country. He was moving and the house was for rent. Knock on the door. And guess who it is. Shawn Bradley. He had to duck when he came through the door. and his neck stayed crooked while he talked to us about the house. Real nice guy. He was transitioning and needed a rental i think he said he had a huge family. Stayed and talked Mavs for about 20 mins. Super cool guy. Never knew if he rented out or not.

He moves really fluidly for a guy of that size. I’m younger so I never got to watch him live, but the fluidity is really impressive. I can see why he was picked 2nd overall.
