I've been using these for years. On every tripod and gimbal and camera I own now. They just work. You do need to screw the base on tight though. But I have cages on my cameras so that's not an issue.

Great review, thank you, this is what I needed to help me make my decision! Looking at photos, I felt like the little locking pin looked weak, I didn’t trust it, so to see someone actually put it through its paces was great! I’m just starting out, and I only really mount to one tripod right now, but being able to switch between handheld and mounted quickly will be such a huge benefit!

Those built in tightening screws on other plates are actually a con. They get loose over time and constantly get in the way of the connection.

Payload is impressive but i would be affraid of the 1/4 mount on the camera, for example Fuji threads can rip out quite easily

This looks like a pretty killer piece of equipment, it’s nice the mount is Arca Swiss. Maybe I should get one of these for a gimbal 🤔 thanks for the info!

I found the plate does come loose if you accidentally rotate the camera. The camera effective acts as a large lever. They need to add some barings to the bolt mechanism to keep force applied, like some other the other quick release systems.

issue with this is the plate under the camera, it keeps coming loose and you have to keep retighten the plate, i wish it had a twist to tighten it under

A year later, are there any other things you would say are cons? Does the top plate still stay put and not need more tightening?

Great review, but I noticed some items are not all Falcam F38 Quick Release System starting Time 2:37?

I image you do not own a peak design camera clip, if you do, have you found an alternative to fix the compability problem with those two?

Ni, thanks for the video…Can you purchase a separate D ring screw on this system?

Hoping you can help....I bought the F38 kit for DJI RS3 and I can't get the Falcam plate to slide into the arm adapter on the RS3. Am I doing something wrong?

does the for pd clip mean that it is completely compatible with it as well?

what turns me away is that the camera is only attached by 1 screw

I’m curious does the plate feel tight in mount or will the camera have any wiggle after it connects?
