iPhone SE 2022: Day One (and reading some comments!)

The iPhone SE is back, and this 3rd generation of the product looks and feels pretty much the same as before -- even if the core of this smartphone has gotten a significant upgrade. Is it enough to justify a new release and a slightly higher price point? Many of you had plenty to say about the iPhone SE 3, the iPhone SE 2022, the iPhone SE 3rd generation, whatever you want to call it -- and for the first time in a while I respond to some of those comments. One day in and I have plenty of thoughts.

The iPhone SE is a flex. It’s saying that you don’t need the latest features, best specs, and don’t need to use your phone much because you can live life without them.

I have the 2020 IPhone SE. people don’t seem to understand that it is (for me) not a money issue. As you said people like myself like the size and the home button. If I want a bigger screen, I use my iPad. I don’t want to carry around a huge phone. Great video!

I've used most of the top iPhones in the past...my favorite was iPhone 7...perfect size for one hand usage, fits in my pocket well, love the home button...Call it retro w a new brain...this phone just feels right as a daily user for what I need...not everyone needs a $1000+ phone...looking forward to the delivery day

I love my iPhone SE2, I think it’s the perfect size for phones. Love Touch ID, for me it works better than Face ID does.

I'm not sure if it's good color editing or the camera used to film, but so far, this is the only video I've watched that actually shows the bluish hue people keep talking about on the midnight color. It just looks straight black on the other videos I've seen. Well done!

Kinda glad they stuck with this design for older gens and younger gens (example my mil and kids) however I do wish they would’ve also came out with a plus size. Those who want the budget iPhone but with a bigger screen and the finger print sensor.

I really like my SE. had it over a year now. Works good, right size, easy to carry, always works good. I don’t live with my phone like others that glue their phones to the butt. It’s just a communication tool people. Not a wonder machine.

Man this phone is so for me! I'm upgrading from to the SE 1st gen(2016) everything is an upgrade for me and another device to last another 6 + years

Switching to the SE was a great decision for me solely for iOS. If you are someone who has been on Android for a while and doesn't do much gaming or heavy tasks, then the SE is pretty reliable and iOS is a great change of pace.

Coming from the iPhone se “5s version” I just now finally upgraded haha to 2022 se. And I love it for my needs. And have to have the home button, that’s one feature I can’t give up. Definitely a speed upgrade in my instance, but kind of surfprised still on T-Mobile, service in my area still isn’t that great

I resonate with the bigger sized iPhone comment with a fingerprint sensor a lot too as that would mean a larger battery too. My SE 2020 can go 3/4 day under middle to heavy usage. But it helps alot to not have to worry about battery

Switched from iPhone 8 to SE3 recently and it doesn’t feel much different from my previous phone. Not exactly the most exciting phone switch I’ve ever had but I do feel comfortable going about my phone either way.

I am still using my 1st gen SE, love it as it does all I need it to. May upgrade to the SE 3rd later this summer.

Me personally I love the iPhone SE 3rd generation and I'm glad I got it I had the 2nd generation SE and I like that one as well

These type of iphones I love for a lot of reasons because it's small compact and lightweight good battery life and it's 5G and it has the A15 chip and the price isn't to bad neither comparing to the 2nd generation Se

I’ve had every generation of SE and it does fill a certain niche.. small form factor, simple, fast, convenient..etc
