Republican Senate candidate for Ohio, Bernie Moreno, who is running against popular Democratic incumbent Sherrod Brown, was caught on camera at a campaign stop making the argument that "a lot of suburban women" are single issue voters who only care about abortion rights, and that women who take that position are crazy, especially women over the age of 50, for whom, he argues, reproductive rights are not an issue.

If women over 50 don't have a say in the abortion NEITHER DO MEN.

So women over 50 don’t have an opinion but men do?

I'm 80 and I will never forget the "right to life" doctors who delayed performing an abortion of the dead fetus I was carrying that didn't naturally abort. I nearly died. I don't want to happen to other women!

Yes, it is an issue for me. I have two daughters and a granddaughter.

This fool doesn't know anything about women, and double shame on the women in that audience laughing along with him.

The Republican candidate can’t even imagine people voting for other people’s rights. That says a lot about him.

A sad state of affairs when the women in the audience are laughing at his dumb statements.

So women over fifty don’t need to have a voice in this fight, but ……men do?

This 55 year old woman had the freedom of choice I needed. I’m voting for all the women who’ve had it taken away.

I am over 50. Actually I'm 67, a mom and a grandma and I NEVER felt more desire to fight for abortion rights, thinking about the future and the lives of my kids and grandchildren.

Women have daughters. They don’t want their rights taken away either.

And yet there are plenty of women in the audience clapping and laughing at his condescending remark! Truly sickening! Vote blue, people!

Typical Republican candidate. What he doesn't understand is that most women, no matter their age, care about the lives and health of other humans. Bernie Merino has enough money to get mental health help for himself. They might be able to explain the concept of empathy to him.

Doesn't he realize how many of us over 50 have daughters, granddaughters, even sons whose partners may need an abortion? Sure, I am long past childbearing age but abortion and the right to be able to safely get one is one of the issues that definitely matter to me. So is saving our democracy. Vote 💙

As if we don't care about our Sisters, daughters, nieces, friends and neighbors. That's such a Maga perspective.

Many of these republicans spew radically religious messages, implying women who are not likely to bear children are valued less.

I’m over 50 & vote with the best interests of my grandchildren’s welfare. I vote freedom for all to have reproductive rights respected and protected!

If you’re 50 (+) and female - let’s show how valuable our vote is!!!!

I'd also point out that this candidate, the dog who caught the car, is totally disrespecting the 75% of women who know abortion is an important part of their HEALTHCARE. Their denial is appalling.
