How ATF's Trigger Rule Just Got Crushed

Do you all remember Operation Reticent Recall and how we all freaked out when we got a nasty letter from the ATF. Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses the matter of NAGR v. Garland, a now very successful challenge to ATF’s rapid and sudden determination that forced reset triggers and wide-open triggers, standing alone, were machine guns. This case, filed in the Northern District of Texax, has now resulted in summary judgment for the plaintiffs here thus freeing, for now at least, the entire nation from this unlawful rule making order. So learn more today and arm yourself with education.

ATF: is a machinegun”
Citizens: “you can’t just say anything you don’t like is a machinegun”
ATF: “yes we can”
Courts: “no you can’t”
ATF: “fine”

Every single time

I would love to start seeing "If you were the owner of a WOT or FRT that the ATF had you destroy, you may be entitled to compensation."
I think a class action lawsuit against the American Tyrant Faction would be a beautiful thing.
The same goes for anything else they have forced people to destroy or forfeit.

So, I don't imagine the AFT is going to return our Triggers with the same alacrity that they came and took them.

Wish we knew when and where the discussion took place that changed the ATF's stance. The reason these were sold in the first place was based on approval from ATF. I would love to know what changed. What kind of backroom deal was made to say, "OK - let's go get them now." We've seen videos of the ATF knocking on doors, threatening people and we've seen how to destroy one if you owned it - cutting it with a band saw etc. At what point in history did this change from approved to not approved and who was involved in this decision? They ruined lives, livelihood, etc. This should not just fade away now - the people that ruined lives should be named and held to the law. This was clearly abuse and those that abused should not get away with this.

All modern handgun triggers are 'force reset'. The only difference is the amount of force.

Now…. Who at the ATF will serve jail time for these infringements?

Oh wait….. there is no justice for these evil tyrants.

The Chevron and EPA case were great, and all the case law now piling up against agency rule VS Congress passing legislation is great as well. Keep it coming !

When I first saw the ATF was infringing yet again by banning FRTs, it was pretty much a moment of, "yep, that figures." Never would I have ever thought that the script would get flipped on the ATF. Whether you use these triggers or not, this is a huge win for gun owners given that it outright checks the ATF for overstepping its authority.

So, then all the people that had their triggers confiscated, or were forced to destroy their property, can now sue the ATF for their losses, right?

I'm not a fan of the look or feel of the modern guns, I'm more of an old-school enthusiast. However, hearing about all the recent losses by the ATF makes me very happy! This one is particularly nice!

The ATF came to my work and told me they would arrest me if i didn't hand the trigger over, they told me they had already arrested people for it, they made me leave work under the threat of arrest to go home and give them the trigger.
