Mulkey didn't make Griner take hash oil into a foreign country.

Lesbian here. I never understood why Griner, who could have gone to college practically anywhere (and even had a Lesbian coach at several A list programs), chose to go to a private Baptist University. I was a Mulkey and Baylor fan since the Sophia Young days. The Griner era was both exciting and frustrating because the team never came close to their potential, and much of that was due to Griner being a selfish, immature and divisive personality. I say this as a fan- I have actually read Griner's book! Hindsight only confirms my theory. Kim Mulkey is correct to simply pray for Brittany and move on. (And boy, has she moved on!)

I think let it go. Brittany is home, Kim is coaching. Whatever their situation is or isn’t, is between them to discuss or not to discuss. Not my business and I think it’s time for people to stop stirring the pot.

Griener chose baylor becauuse of Mulkey. If you are gay and choose to play basketball at a Religious university, then follow the unwritten code and keep your mouth shut. Greiner has made bad decisions in her life, the latest being choosing to play basketball in Russia and bringing drugs with her. Leave coach Mulkey alone, she is a class act

Mulkey is a coach. She coaches. She isn’t paid for her opinion.

All she had to say, was what she previously said, which did not condone her sexuality, while acknowledging her humanity… The fact that she said nothing spoke volumes. As a Christian, I believe that you can acknowledge someone’s dignity, while disagreeing with their lifestyle.

So Mulkay had already made a comment? It isn't a correct statement to say she hadn't made a comment.

Mulkey is fine. And Baylor is a Christian private school. They could have their policies. Griner could have poor any school. She wanted to make a point. Mulkey is Tim the win here

Leave Coach Mulkey alone! She has no power over what happened with Griner. And Mulkey DID say she was praying for Griner. I know that these two Baylor players who criticized Mulkey might have been flushing Christian values down the toilet and replacing them with entitled, bratty ones during their time at Baylor. My message to them is: Show this coach, who is also YOUR former coach, a little respect.

Back 2 Sports askes a great question: If you have come out in high school, why then go to a conservative Christian college and be surprised you are asked to keep your gender preference quiet until later? Oh, that's right, this younger generation thinks establishments need to BEND to THEIR rules and way of life!? The arrogance and ignorance of the younger culture is going to catch up with them. Oh, wait, it already HAS caught up to Griner, in Russia! Oh well, she is LUCKY she is an American, right? Oh wait, she didn't respect the flag and her citizenship either. God Help Our Country and the youth, coming up to defend it? Don't change Coach Mulkey! You love America, the south and being a woman! God Bless You!

Silence is POWER! Silence gives NO one to misquote, and take one’s words out on contents.
YOU make your own assumptions.
If I call you a liar, and I don’t respond. Well you my friend gave the WORD no power!

You can't talk shit publicly about someone after you leave their school then want them to support you publicly after you go to Russia and get caught with weed juice. She's at LSU now why would she have to be forced to make comments about a player she doesn't coach anymore she's worrying about her new players at her new job.

Mulkey is just fine. This is just more victim culture by Griner. The biggest question is why did a lesbian choose to go to a Christian school like Baylor of all places? We know why Mulkey recruited her, because she wanted 6'8" on her team not some other team. All I will say is this, Griner doesn't strike me as one of the brighter light bulbs in the pack.

Griner's ignorance is a pattern. Ignorant of the fact that the school wasn't favorable (and shouldn't be as a Baptist school) to her sexuallity. Same as she was ignorant about the travel restrictions that landed her in a Russian prison. Seems like what her coach didn't do, by keeping quiet, is point out the fact that Griner was responsible for the position she put herself in. That was gracious in its own right. Griner is a victim only to her own descisions, she should learn to take responsibilty and stop blaming others for her predicaments.

Dave Chappelle, said about Jesse Smellit, when he asked why more black people didn't defend him at first. Dave said roughly, 'We were defending you with our silence, because we knew you were lying, so by staying silent, we actually were defending you by not saying so.'

Anyway, why should she give af about someone from her past who's publicly talked crap about her. She has a new team and new kids to coach. She don't have time for that shi...
