Castlevania (NES): Prologue

Since the first Castlevania didn't have music playing on its title screen, "Prologue" is the first song you can hear in the game. It's just a simple tune accompanying Simon's walk towards Dracula's castle gate. All fans can agree in saying that this is the most iconic intro tune to the series.

The same exact song is not only present in all three NES versions of CV1, but also in the first "Akumajou Dracula Pachislot" game (listed in the OST as the "Command Input Success" jingle).

The theme has been "remixed" in all three PC ports of 1990, although the Amiga port makes it play during the transitions between stages, instead of the introduction.
