I invest in both but it is important that the average person understand that Ethereum has a far greater risk of having a catastrophic event. It is far more complex and has already had some serious mishaps. When it comes to scaling (which any crypto must do if it becomes popular) Ethereum has a much bigger problem to deal with and few talk about it. Its block size is growing exponentially and is already twice the size of bitcoin even though it is less than half as old. It is just getting started and we have already witnessed an inability for it to handle the load as we saw with the Stratis ICO. As DAPS and ICOs continue to pile on the potential for problems goes up exponentially. That is just a few of a list of risks that goes on and on from there. Investment yes, but It is a Long Long road before Ethereum proves itself to be a SAFE place to store value.
