Man I still miss that, and I served in the 80s. They are memories that last a lifetime. I wish I could be there with them. The flight deck is like nothing else. May God be with you all

The aircraft carrier it's very good but in World War 3 you will need more than one of these if America had ten and the planes on the aircraft carrier as well they would be in business????

For safety reasons, it is standard operating procedure (sop) for the planes to jettison out into the sea any undelivered bombs or missiles before landing back on the carrier.

Mediterranean/Indian Ocean 82. Out and back Suez Canal. Got close enough to fly a fallen Shipmate to Diego and back to the States. Average loss of life per six months Carrier deployment is five souls, 82 we lost seven souls.
