Chuck uses Tinkercad to design some custom Netbook mounts for this Portable Electronics Workbench. He designs recessed hex shaped slots for metal M4 bolt inserts. The 3D Printed mounts hold his Netbook computer to the back of his Portable Electronics Workbench he built over several Filament Friday videos. He takes you step by step showing you how to build these using his Flashforge Dreamer.

Great addition to the case.

It's worth considering adding a small rubber/foam cushion on the inside of the brackets if you think you're going to let the laptop "drop" into it like that. Just a little something extra to try and reduce the wear on the laptop over time.

For the bolt holes, I'm a fan of TinkerCAD's "Polygon" Shape generator that does the optional point. I uncheck point, set the number of sides to 6, then I can set the Apothem to the size of the bolt head +/- 0.2mm.

Came here for metal bolt INSERTS, like you did in #020. Feel clickbaited.

Those aren't inserts - they are recesses.
