They finally gave me $204 since January. But they are holding up the payments that include the extra $600 from Gov. WHY??? Will I get these monies retroactive? I appealed my PUA claim. I also cancelled that claim. I was still eligible for regular UI and didn't know it. So I submitted a cancellation letter. Oh BTW DETR MADE ME PAY THEM $2740 for over payments before I could get the $204. They....DETR set it into motion that I would be blocked from benefits even if I paid the over payment until July 25th the cut off date for Gov Cares Act monies. They chose that date back in January 2020. Funny they chose the exact day of the stoppage of the cares monies.

The next day 20k-30k people got denial letters. They're way of getting through backlogs. Just to wait months again for an answer from Regular ui. Feels like a back n forth run around. 5 months worth of patience just to get a other program eligibility denial letter. What a terrible feeling

DETR RRSF (Rapid Response Strike Force): Please help me get out of "PUA Purgatory".
Gig worker, here. It all started March 25 when COVID killed business. Was finally able to file for PUA on May 16 (first day). DETR disqualified me the next month ... said I needed to file in California. The Appeal process wasn't working then, so I kept certifying in PUA but applied for UI in California. CA EDD told me that since all the wages I earned since leaving California in February, 2019 were earned in Nevada, that I needed to file in Nevada. Finally able to use new PUA appeal process on July 22. Website says process typically takes 7 - 10 business, but 14 business business days have passed and still no response. Doh! Was finally able to speak with a PUA Appeal phone support agent this morning. She said that the PUA Appeal process is currently taking about 30 days to process appeals. Ugh! So I guess I can expect to get an answer and hopefully some money by the last week of this month. Just a 5 month wait.

Yes, please do put some extra effort into those claims that have been frozen &/or disqualified. Fix the problem and put us back in line, but not the end of the live over again!

PUA leaders: I'm still looking for work. I'll gladly consider any work from home DETR / PUA work. Thank you. JR
