You won't belive what I see here in my area, people preemptively prune all those beautiful branches of virginia creeper by half in like August so there is "less leaves to sleep later"... It is like a crime against aesthetics and horiculture. And then they prune it in exact same way as grapevine in december, like they actually all thin branches even tho it is unneccesary to prune that hard. It completely ruines the whole purpose of having virginia creeper
