The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. You could have a strategy with 99% win rate and still be a failing trader. That 1 percent loss rate can wipe out your account if you don't know how to cut the loss. This was the hardest thing for me to do, learn to admit I was wrong when taking a trade. Once I learned it is ok to be wrong it opened a whole new world for me, as far as profitability in the long run in concerned.

Not impossible. November marks year 5 for me. 2.5 months of consistency and am over 7k from a low of $1388. Get the small wins every day. $200-500 a day can happen at this size. I've specialized in single leg options, scalping specifically.
