Something particularly interesting about kursk is the germans attacked a well prepared defensive position with inferior forces and still managed to inflict heavier casualties on the soviets than they took in return. For those who are unaware you usually want a 2 or 3 to one advantage when attacking a defensive position and even then its still expected you’ll take heavier casualties than the defenders. Really shows how experienced and dangerous the german army was at that point in the war.
