Is there any AWD version of the 8HP transmission or AWD comparable one? I'm looking to swap out the crap 4EAT transmission of my 2007 Subaru forester XT for something much more responsive, but keep it auto.

Speedometer is not working. The speedometer signal comes from the transmission in most modern applications. This BRZ is using a stand alone ECU for the engine I assume. Is getting the speedometer working correctly a problem?
