Install Ubuntu 13.04 on Virtualbox

Today I'm going to show you how you can install Ubuntu on virtualbox!
Ubuntu is a popular Linux operating system and is ideal for beginners but isn't restrictive for advanced users.

Excellent video!! I have been trying to install Ubuntu for 2 weeks! This video finally helped me do it without fear of over-writing Windows 8.1.

The only issue I ran into is that I could not install 64 bit. Got an x86 error. So I downloaded 32 bit Ubuntue and everything works fine. Thanks!!

A tip for those who unzip the folder. DO NOT extract the files. Just load the winrar folder into VirtualBox. If you check the properties of the folder is is a .iso file indeed.

everybody who is saying that 64bit won't work, it does work BUT you need to enable intel virtualization in BIOS if using intel cpu. there is different 64bit ubuntu for amd.

HI, I did everything that you did, but at 4:18 that box popped up like yours, but then it came up & said this.... This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.) Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong.  I have a newer computer, its an HP Pavilion P6000 Series with 8gig ram, Quad core. So I really don't know what might be the problem. I downloaded the only ver I seen on the download page and it was Ubuntu 13.10 and It was the 64bit, and my computer is a 64bit. Please I hope you can help. Thank you.
