The title itself is a nod to Nietzsche's "Thus Spoke Zarathustra, " which is a book on philosophy and morality. From a few choice quotes from the book, it does match Otto well.

One thing I love about Otto the most is that he doesn't justifies his actions with the use "humanity" or "this is for the better of humanity" or anything like that, no, he knows and encourages the fact that all his wrong doings are indeed wrong, he said it himself that his humanity is gone and is now fully insane.

Now we get to witness his death, a life of an amazing villain to the end.
Such an amazing antagonist and incredibly written character, Otto apocalypse. If this cg actually made me cry for him then wow

when i heard the singer is male, that's when i knew this Animated Short will be special af. Can't wait!

High-key one of if not the best written villain in action RPG history. Love him or hate him, he makes you feel things. Intense things. The difficulty he brings to the main fight is insane but still real and believable. His motivations evoke empathy without sympathy. He started out as a nobody and, like most of the protagonists, went through multiple personal hells to get where he is. He's the kind of enemy that defeating or even scoring a clean hit on demands sacrifice. Only the heroes that can match his will (and his OP divine key, hello) deserve to stand in the ring with him.

we will witness the end of a truly well written villain. it doesn't matter if you like him or not, we can't deny the resolve that he had to go through to realize his dream of bringing kallen back

I now finally know why in APHO, Welt was so full of respect when he said that Otto was dead.

The last line of Otto in this trailer is such a powerful statement and a testament to what kind of playing field he had set up. I can't wait for the short to come out.

The Kallen that spoke at length of her own damage to him in that letter, and parted ways with him as amicably as she could because of their incompatibility.

Which one will he see at the end of all this? What will even remain of him?
