i feel like garnet is a metaphor for learning to love yourself. society teaches us to be a certain way, "normal" or whatever. and these days it's almost like being your own person is looked down upon. so to me the way garnet comes to terms with two different parts of her own personality is really beautiful...
i mean maybe ruby and sapphire are just gay space rocks and i'm overanalyzing. but still. love this show, it always gives me so much to think about.
