I love minimalist photography, especially long exposures. It's one of my favorite things to do, and I'm doing it for quite a long time. Fiddling with all the camera settings, composition, ND filters and so on can feel pretty natural to me after all this time, but it might not be the same for beginners. In this video I'm going through all the necessary items and steps needed to create a long exposure minimalist seascape photo in the field. Starting with equipment, moving on to composition, use of ND filters and shutter length. I hope this small tutorial will help anyone trying out this technique for the first time learn the basics and get started with this amazing and so rewarding type of photography. As always, thank you so much for watching!

It's unfortunate that the sound of the waves/wind are interfering with your video. Great video NTL!!

I came to this video really late (nearly nine months after publication). So this point has perhaps already been made.
While setting up the shot, the camera is NOT in shutter priority mode as stated by Francesco. He even points to the A in the upper left corner of the display which indicates aperture priority. This is further confirmed by the fact that when he adjusts exposure compensation to expose to the right, the shutter speed changes and not the F/11 aperture. A constant aperture with variable shutter speed indicates aperture priority. In shutter priority the shutter speed is held constant.

You kept saying you were in Shutter Priority mode when the camera stated you were in Aperture Priority mode.
