Don’t forget to account for the thickness of the drywall board (plasterboard) when you’re measuring the depth of the sink!! Would hate for it to come out further than you thought!

I think the conversion is brilliant and can’t wait to see it finished ✅

It is really shaping up now. Living with any type of building work is the stuff of nightmares but that becomes a distant memory.
Pocket doors are an absolute game changer, I love them.

It's coming along really nicely! You've actually got a decent amount of space and the alcoves are definitely an added bonus for storage. Kate's idea for the shower makes perfect sense 👍😊

I’m so excited for you about this conversion product! There’s one thing which concerns me, the fact that when your en-suite door is shut, you have no light from your lovely window. Have you considered having a lightweight plexiglass, lightly textured or frosted inset into the pocket door? You would still have privacy, but more light in the room. Just a thought. Best wishes!!

You were measuring out from the framed wall but you will lose some of that depth once the plasterboard is installed, it’s always better to measure up once the bathroom Walls are finished

Plenty of room for storage and such a good idea of Kates in the en-suite! Xx

Glad you moved the window. By the same token, if you situate the sink unit against the wall with the pocket door you will have much better access when opening the sink unit’s doors. It would also give more room to the side of the toilet to maybe have a small shelf unit for extra toilet needs, e.g. toilet paper, towels, toiletries.

Bet you can't wait for the end result. I am a week into having a new kitchen fitted and it's driving me mad. The whole house is in a mess, everything is covered in plaster dust. It will be worth it in the end. I am enjoying watching your loft conversion, have a great week 😊

I noticed right away how lovely the background looks. That is my favorite of all the ways you have decorated the mantle area. A very nice storage area you are planning. Good decision on bathroom layout. I live in a very small 1936 house of 2 large rooms, back to back fireplaces, a bathroom and kitchen. I have only one closet in my entire house! We do have some storage on the back porch. It is all coming together. Well done Mr C.

Remember to remove the flow restrictor before installing the shower head ... you'll get much better water pressure regardless of brand., especially top floor.

Great idea from Kate regarding shifting the window over and making the shower a bit bigger as it will make it feel more luxurious. Looking forward to seeing the end result.
