CBR600rr Would not Rev Past 12k RPM **FIXED!

I fixed my 2009, 19,000 mile CBR600rr power issue. It wouldn't rev past 13k rpm, and I originally thought it was a fuel issue. The bike made no odd noises, and accelerated fine up to around 11k. At that point, the engine still sounded fine, it just struggled to rev faster, as if it were going up a steep hill. There was no jerkiness, just lack of power.
Here's what I checked/knew
-Valve clearances were within spec as of 2k miles ago, before this issue started.
-spark plugs were replaced 2k miles ago, and checked again after the issue started, they were good.
-idle rpm was within spec
-no fuel, or vent hoses were pinched or clogged
-air filter was clean
-bike runs around 182°F while operating
-oil had less than 500 miles.
The following is everything I tried.
-replaced fuel pump and fuel strainer
-checked fuel flow rate, it was within spec
-Battery voltage was ~12.2-while bike was off, and ~14.3 while bike was running, and while riding.
-Disconnected and reconnected the tp sensor (Idk why but I hoped it worked lol)

My problem was the exhaust butterfly, it stuck, I disconnected the cables, left it open and held it with a wire, that was the solution. Thank you man

Bro. I had the same problem. Saw your video and went right away to check my exhaust. I opened it cause it was closed. Rev up the engine once my bike was warm, started working. The bike was in fact chocking. I still have the servo buddy. I left the throttle plate open permanently

Wow, I had sold a 2008 ZX6R due to this same issue. After a few close calls and mechanics not finding the issue I called it a loss.

Idk if I have the same problem .

My bike is having hard time red lining too. The torque and acceleration is gone. Usually after 2 hour trip, my gas is almost gone which is normal. Now after a 2 hr trip, I have more then half a gas tank left still.

Not sure what the issue is .

I've been getting the EGCV FI light on my bike and was planning to do the servo buddy (already have one ordered) so this is good to know.

About to head out to the shop and check mine out! Disconnected my servo around a year ago and never had an issue. Today after a long ride I noticed that power would abruptly end at around 13.5K, but will hit redline in 1st, 2nd, and in neutral. Hoping this is my issue also!

I have the same problem with my cbr 600 rr pc40, can't pass 13k rpm... I have full akrapovic titanium exhaust system. But my exhaust valve is stock and working properly.

I hope that’s my issue since I removed mine and I changed the fuel pump and after that didn’t work I took it to a bike shop, they charged me 500$, didn’t fix it and installed my tag where a cop could see it. Then I changed the coils today and I still have the same problem. It’s a 2011 with 5k miles

I hope this info helps me, my cbr600rr '19 revs at 12k rpms aprox, I changed the fuel pump and the regulator of pressure (gasoline) and it still failing, the bike actually runs at max 210km/h(i got 260km/h on this bike) really hope this help me to fix mi bike:(

Going to try this on my 07 600rr. Bike just doesn’t want to go full throttle. We have the same exhaust flap haha. Fingers crossed it works. #subscribed
