The contrast in the woman’s top 3 is enormous. At number 3 you have Naomi Osaka who regardless of the consequences took a stand against racial injustice. Then you have number 2, Romanian Simona Halep, who is good friends with Romanian businessman and former tennis player Ion Tiriac who made racist and sexist comments about Serena Williams and her mixed race daughter. And then you have number 1, Australian Ashleigh Barty, who once took pride in her aboriginal heritage, but remained silent when Aboriginals marched the streets in Sidney for their cause against racial injustice. I love the contrast!
