So if the South African unemployment rate is so high how is their jobs for more poor immigrants? Violence certainly is not the answer and anyone caught doing it should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. However I can understand the frustration of poor native South Africans. I can see how people feel allowing in more people into a already struggling economy is going to negatively affect their outcomes. If you feel that you live in a fair and equitable society you are less likely to see immigrants as an issue. But if you feel you live in an oppressive unfair society, you aren't going to embrace immigrants if you don't feel they are helping your agenda? That's just the way it is.
