You were pretty wrong about yugoslavia.. It was a socialist-ish country but it wasnt in warsaw pact it had nothing to do with ussr it was closer to america than ussr in many ways as country was a neutral between 2 world powers.. Yugoslavia was an open state unlike rest of eastern europe there were bmw and mercedes dealerships in the 70s, western culture music it was all available as well as cars there was no shortage of cars like there was in ussr but imported cars had some tax slapped on to boost sales homemade cars.. Yugo wasnt a bad design at the time it had 55 60hp like most other econoboxes at that price range but it was mostly slapped together lol..

Chrysler during the 80s must've been like thank God we dodge that deal. If Chrysler bought Yugo I don't think they would still exist today.

Yugo is not the worst car in history, infact I love it know all about it, you Americans are just not used to basic transportation you always had better car and bigger, in it's birth place it was really good alot of people liked it, I have to admit it was bad and badly built, but it was not the worst, there alot of worser cars such as ( trabant, Fiat 126, peel p50, reliant Robin Wartburg and more !
