I feel like anyone who wants to see why jazz musicians love being jazz musicians should watch this. This has it all—multigenerational collegiality and collaboration; humility in paying homage to masters; speaking the language together with creative imagination and heart and individual personality and conversation; striving ecstatic energy; and a big f-in heap of swing! You can be completely absorbed in it every moment…everything else falls away, and you just love being human for a time. We are inspired, striving, joyful, thoughtful, perfectly imperfect wonderful beings. Jazz is a vehicle for all of that, and I love you guys for showing it to the world! ❤️

One of my favorite Emmet's Place concerts. I must have listened to the whole gig at least 20 times now. Such great playing by all 3 pianists and the awesome rhythm section. Beyond great. Both Jeb and Sean outstanding players. So much creativity and touch.

Mr. Cedar Walton was an excellent composer and performer. I think Mr. Cohen is a great musician who deserves to be called his successor.

Cedar really defined what a true jazz musician to me is. He really loved all the cats that came before him. I remember reading Billy Higgins saying how much Sonny Clark loved him and McCoy. Cedar wrote some beautiful tunes you guys did a great job playing BTW, had his own way of phrasing his 8th notes that fit Billy Higgins cymbal beat to a tee. Long live Cedar and thanks for never forgetting the greats.
