Compaq Deskpro Restoration - Keyboard, Mouse & Computer!

In this video I restored my Compaq Deskpro back to it's factory original state.

The computer was acquired in late 2018, but the keyboard and mouse is something that I only got it (for free) recently.

The keyboard & mouse were especially filthy since they came from a e-waste source and were left in the elements (in a box) for about 15 years!

The computer has the following specs:
Pentium III 600
128MB SDRAM
ATI integrated graphics (it works surprisingly well in games)
ESS sound chip (onboard)
Windows 98
8GB Maxtor HDD
Proprietary CD-R drive

that's a cool old compaq, they were bought out around 2002 so that must be one of their last machines. a nice one to have, good to see you cleaned it up well!

I got one of these nearly a year ago with the exact same specs but I had no idea you could lift up the PSU like that and slide out the motherboard! great video! - (tip) get a Matrox G450 32mb PCI graphics card it works and its like nearly 6 times better than the onboard ATI Rage.

An NLX form factor PC! I meant to get one with an Asus SP98-N, but never did. For a keyboard with that many screws, have you considered getting a powered screwdriver? I never did since I never had a need for one, but, ya know... just in case you run into a keyboard like that again.

I'm trying to rack my brains. but I think the keyboard you have slightly pre-dates the later PIII Deskpro EN, but it was a really nice keyboard at the time. I think your EN came with the softer press variant and scroll mouse when new.

I have the same one.but its cell is dead now.where i can got the cell because its cell size is different.
And i want to put a RAM .which frequency and ddr RAM is compatible for this.
