No, they didn’t, they just decided not to care. They knew people would render genitalia instantly, they just decided to not care. Many of the shrines have a literal ‘Do it however!’ design philosophy. That’s why it’s so much fun!

I actually figured this out on my own and felt clever. But it was boring. So I just didn’t bother. Sometimes, it’s just about fun.

I dont think developers overlooked this at all, since is kinda obvious, many players are going to naturally try it (i mean...its just using a main tool they gave you in a recurring situation) and videogames get tested. Its more a "if you figure this out just use it" kind of case IMO

you could similarly use zonai charges or upgrade the battery. these powers are meant to be really useful and powerful so it’s nice to see the game reward you for being clever

I think they overlooked the fact that you can make a hoverbike without the use of anything that depletes, ie. wings. The fan will never disappear after prolonged use, yet if you were using a 'properly intended' flight vehicle the recall ability wouldnt matter, as the wing would time out regardless

Or you could just.. use a large zonai charge... you can get plenty of those from the skydiving minigames.

While this is neat, it isn't as easy, nor as efficient as landing, or even popping a large Zonai charge

This is how you make the gloom hands waiting below you giving you the finger and vanish.

Unless you’ve miscalculated the distance between one sky island to another, and literally can’t land or have to start again, you’re better off just landing to recharge.

Even in the depths, you can usually hop between the tops of giant mushrooms and not have to do this tedious loop with rewind.

Really the only thing this allows for is achieving heights that would otherwise not be possible, it doesn’t actually speed up the lateral distance you cover since you could easily land on the ground and let the battery recharge there. Since this feat can already be achieved by Zonai rockets at nearly the start of the game, it’s simply a convenience rather than anything super busted

it's not infinite flight. I flew my hoverbike through the depths from the Hebra mountain, down to the Gerudo mountains, around the other side of the Tabantha ridge, and back up to the Forgotten Temple, activating light roots as I went, and discovered that there is a time limit on parts other than the wing. the zonai wing has a 60-second time limit, but while the fans last a lot longer, they do eventually disappear. although, if you can fly that far with one contraption, it's effectively infinite, I guess.
