3 stacks and 37 solid blocks

16 carpet
2 snow blocks and 1 carved pumpkins (for snow golem)

When the game goes to spawn a mob it looks for nearest blocks around the place it tries to spawn, having the farm wrapped with blocks slows the spawning rates because the game must scan the area still to spawn, this is why the big slab ceiling at the top to make the farm dark is the best because there is no other blocks around to try to spawn a mob on and simply directs it only to the spawn blocks you use where the creepers will spawn.

I made your creeper farm (im the guy who couldnt make the raid farm) and it works fairly well on bedrock. for whatever reason spiders still spawn so it also happens to be a wool farm too lol

Just built this and well, just be careful on the afk platform. Sometimes creepers have X-ray vision and BOOM LOL. GREAT FARM THOUGH!!

So I built this to a T on bedrocks 1.20 and it’s being extremely slow as well as I’m still getting skeletons and spiders… any tips?

If your trying to build a creeper farm on bedrock putting trap doors on the roof and carpet on the floor you'll end up with only spiders able to spawn

thats not expensive at all but good idea i didnt think about aggro attacks with the snowmen

The best creeper farm is the portal based one on Scicraft, though to build it you'd need an obsidian farm and a sea pickle farm

There is no reason to build it high up. Spawn rates decrease the higher you go on the y axis.
That is why perimeters are used for the most efficient farms out there.

This farm should work better when you start building the killing platform just above the water.

If you do build it closer to the water, it is advised to afk at around y 180.
The drop chamber probably also doesn't need to be this tall if you won't be standing at the bottom and using your sword to kill them.

Also soulcapmfires do more dmg.

So if you don't want to make the farm harder to build, build ut closer to the water, make the dropchamber shorter and go afk at y 180.
You won't be able to use Looting on the drops, however it is infinitely afkable and doesn't require a makro or autoclicker.

Note: this is spoken from experience on Java edition. This information will most likely not apply on bedrock edition, however, you are free to try this and tell me if it works/ if it increases the rates, since I have seen people claim of it not working well on bedrock in the first place.

Built this twice today in bedrock. Very slow spawn rate in bedrock and it spawns drowned. I’m okay with that I’ll take the tridents. Make sure you are over an ocean and not a large river. Currently have three layers but I’ll definitely need more. From what I can tell bedrock just has slow spawn rates on farms like this. Kinda sucks but it is what it is. I used campfires to kill mobs as using looting 3 is a no go with the low spawn rates. Trident killer would be better. I might add that later.

Your rates will be better if you build it lower (this is true for all regular monster spawning, the lower the better, that's why enderman farm tutorials make you get to y 1)

Probably the cheapest expensive farm I've seen lol While it does need bunch of blocks, there looks to be very little that's specific and isn't just a general building block of your choice, and there's no crazy redstone

It's very bad on servers. I build mine on a server and it's slow as hell
