Key leaders from Asia have gathered in Russia's Vladivostok for the annual Eastern Economic Forum -- aimed at highlighting the economic potential of the country's far eastern region. During his meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed interest in developing relations with ASEAN. Mr Putin also met with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng. He added that he's expecting to see President Xi Jinping at the BRICS summit in Russia's Kazan city next month. Dasha Chernyshova and Afifah Ariffin report from Moscow and Kuala Lumpur respectively.

Here is the reason for the overall negative tone of this news report that is coming from Singapore. Singapore is on the "HOSTILE/UNFRIENDLY COUNTRIES LIST" of RUSSIA. Only three other East Asian entities are also on that list: Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan — all those three entities are vassals of the United States. So, what does being on that list say about Singapore?

Being on that list — and being an enemy of Russia — has a severe consequence: Singapore will not be able to join BRICS. BRICS will become the single most important global economic and free trade organization in the world; (I would say it already is.) BRICS will become the single biggest engine of economic growth for the Global South. Singapore will miss out and be left out of BRICS and all its benefits Russia will keep Singapore out of BRICS.

Furthermore, BRICS will soon announce and implement a new international payment and settlement system that exists outside the US-controlled dollar and SWIFT system; (Brazil, Russia and China have already started using "BRICKS Pay" to pay for agricultural and energy trades since around March/April.) If the US dollar ever collapses under the weight of America's out-of-control national debts and interest payments, (which is very and increasingly likely to happen, and soon, ) BRICS Pay will become the lifeline for countries in BRICS and the Global South. Unfortunately for Singapore, it will not have access to that backup option and alternative to the US system.

Singapore should be really, really worried about the impacts of being blocked by Russia from joining BRICS. All because Singapore made one seriously bad decision three years ago when it should have stayed out and stayed neutral.

Singapore condemned and sanctioned Russia over Ukraine, yet it has refused to do the same for Israel over Gaza while claiming (i.e., pretending) that it wanted to stay "neutral". So what happened to that "neutrality" of Singapore on the Russia-Ukraine conflict? That is some BS flagrant display of hypocrisy. The reason for Singapore's double standards is because Singapore has become a vassal of the US like Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. The only difference is that Singapore still pretends that it is not while there is no point for Japan, South Korea or Taiwan to pretend that it is not. The fact is: Singapore took the obviously contradictory and hypocritical positions on Russia-Ukraine vs. Israel-Gaza — and those inconsistent positions happened to be the same ones uniformly taken by all of the vassals of the US, as ordered by their master.

2024-9-4, Eastern Economic Forum,China-Russia Cooperation to benefit Global South Food Security(grains corridor ).
The proposed BRICS grains exchange enjoys wide support across the bloc, and will accelerate the decoupling of Global South markets from the Western banking and trading systems, to de-risk from farmers in North America and Europe.

When complete, Russian production and shipments on this network will exceed 8 million tons per year.

Large distribution hubs are being completed in China's Northern and Central provinces, which will further transport much cheaper Russian food exports within China, and on to benefit other Asian countries.
