Great simple and to the point explanation. Fantastic.

Great Video. Temp and work load Most important. Still needed an inside view of difference. Still made a decisive argument. Thumbs up.

Great video. Straight to the point. Cheers

What do the p eople that actually use them say. So much of bushless over brushed is hype I suspect because they can charge more for brushless.

How much of the difference in battery consumption? Is it three times as the baterry example in video?

However the more magnetism the permanent magnets lose over time the greater the power drop and the electronic circuitry loses its switching effect on the wound coils whether the permanent magnets revolve around the fixed coil or the rotating coils revolve around the fixed permanent magnets depending on the style of motor. Also brushless motors are not very humidity friendly and cold weather friendly as well. All electronics require cooling of some sort as well. Too heavy load and heat are not good for brushless DC motors as well. Better invention would be to have a sealed pwm that's speed controllable and that creates a square wave which powers and induction motor through an SCR and a capacitor reducing the amount of electronic circuitry. Can even be made light weight and would be a better method for cordless chainsaws which require higher torque and horsepower demands

I hear brushless is more likely to die from slight water damage as it's full of electronics

Do not upgrade! Brushed are much cheaper to maintain. Controllers on brushless are expensive, and they brake quite often.

brushless tools are much more complicated (for no reason) and if they brake, they can't be repaired, at least not money worth repair. They are the pedestal of one time expendable tool. They brake easily and need special storage away from humidity. Brushed on the other hand, are simpler and can be easily and cost effectively repaired. Why every single video on youtube focuses only to the advantages of brushless motors and they don't mention the disadvantages? i smell payment for marketing hype. Anyway, for a home user, diy...er and hobbiest, cordless are a waste of time and money. for home users corded is the way to go. No need to worry about batteries, which eventually will degrade and need replacement, but a corded one will last 3 lifetimes. Even if you use the life out of them, chances are, that all that they will need, is a set of new carbon brushes. Oh, and just for thought, there were once brushes that wouldn't and couldn't degrade at all. They changed all that just to create a new market.

Is there any way of telling if a tool is brushed or brushless simply by looking at it? Or at the very least a way of knowing whether its brushed or brushless by some trade secret?

i wish i could promote this channel but most of my frinds are too stupid to understabd/just don't like learning

Volume is low. Before uploading to YT, just compare volumes with existing videos first.

Hey I got a idea. How about just make brushless motors and call it a fucking day and stop ripping people off .
