I was thinking about the Kamala Harris campaign as I was watching Gary Oldman playing Winston Churchill. One scene he was very discouraged and knew he had to do something. He went on a subway and eventually asked the people there what to do. Truly invigorating!
My point is that the Democrats need to reevaluate their message so they can connect with the people so we can win the upcoming elections. We need the right people!

Thank you, Michael and the Bulwark, for inviting Bryan on. I enjoyed this discussion. Not every Dem is a liberal. However, it seems like many repubs are nuts. Where does one go to find liked minded people who really care about this country and its people? 😔

If you talk to any of them all they do is give out the slogans. It’s easy for them to remember and use because their voters are just not smart and can’t articulate any point. So it resonates with them. Have to dumb messages down for most people. I used to have a neighbor who every time I engaged him in conversation would always have a Nancy Pelosi and Obama care rant. Basically the entire Fox News talking points against them. That guy was about as radicalized and obsessed as you can get without actually going to the next step of radicalization. Straight nut jobs everywhere.

Republicans aren't magic. We get the leadership we deserve (and vote for). This myth of American exceptionalism needs to be finally put to bed, we aren't special or possess "better angels" than any other people. We're just as self serving and short sighted. Political parties didn't do this, WE (Collectively) did.

From my mother: Changed my mind - I am reminded of the Jordan Peterson technique of carefully crafted responses that include the "isn't it obvious? I am a PHD psychologist" kind of condescension that seeks to invalidate the viewpoint of the listener. It is effective - tho JP lost his license to practice, his influence techniques r still very lucrative for him, especially in combination w/the Daily Wire. BTC was the very first Warrior for Truth that I noticed on You-Tube, before Adam Mockler, before MTN, before the Hysteria girls, etc. To me, BTC has always projected a sincere desire to expose the truth w/eloquence, in spite of the massive political machinations of self-serving wealthy. The independent news media is growing & prospering 💙

Offer a simple solution/ explanation to a problem
If there is no problem make one up
Never make your audience responsible for the problem always blame others
Tell your audience over and over again how wonderful life would be if there were no others.
Make sure the others are distinctly different from your audience
Make sure the others are too weak to fight back
Repeat over and over again that the others are the real problem
Finally, make sure the audience believes that you're the only one who can deal with the others.

June 2015. I remember one of Trump's first press conferences. It was in a ballroom. Mexico is "bringing drugs, crime and rapists." It was shocking to me at the time. MEDIA ate it up. Couldn't get enough of him and it has never stopped.

So, here's the simple question. Are we, as a group, dumb?

In 2015, I was trying to convince some friends to vote for Clinton even though they did not like her. In my case, against Trump, I talked about the money laundering in Panama and the failure to build a resort Trump wanted in Mexic. I also was not shy to say the word Fascist.😮 and explain why I thought he was one Fast forward to 2024. The GOP is the Neo-fascist American movement. To talk about Trump as if he is normal is a big mistake.
