Hi, I'm also going to replace the transmission, but I still don't understand how the ECM replacement works? Which one do I need to get instead of the automatic one or should I just reprogram it? And can I use the ECM from the 850 awd to the V70R awd 1997?

What about the transmission harness from the auto? Same thing as manual?

And if you are lucky, you wont get 1 gear forward and 4 gears in reverse He he :-D.

That center bearing looks the wrong way around to me.

 I imagine the engine computer can be left till last, it will moan but it should still chug along so the gears/clutch can be tested.
I bet the manual engine computer is less plentyfull where you are.
