Just picked up the Cipher recently and loved it! It's the kind of book that you like when you finish and absolutely love as it lingers in your thoughts long after.

No offence to Kathy, but the idea of 'a mouth under one's pillow' sounds really stupid -- almost Goosebumps level stuff. It makes me somewhat apprehensive about exploring M.R. James. The Haunting of Hill House also bored me beyond sense, and has caused me to refrain from revisiting Jackson since I read it at 18. What can I say? When you read Lovecraft at 15, after suffering through Poe's involution at school, everything else seems inane.
Good conversation, otherwise. I'm enjoying going through all these, as it keeps me off YouTube, and serves as good rest from writing.
