Lot 391 Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) - Stormtrooper Helmet

A Stormtrooper helmet from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
Imperial stormtroopers wore their standard-issue helmets during
the Empire’s hunt for Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Han Solo
(Harrison Ford) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

The helmet, known as a “Mk II” style, is constructed of vac-formed
ABS plastic sections for the faceplate, dome and communicator
ear piece with green acrylic lenses installed in the eye recesses.
The face plate “tusks” are made of white resin with metal vent
sections installed at the front. Rubber trim is present at the
helmet’s neck opening, and a replacement rubber trim piece is
applied to the helmet’s brow. Black paint is applied to the chin
and mouth vent with decals applied to the helmet’s cheeks and
temples. A foam lining is present for comfort during wear. The “Mk
II” style helmets were created during the production of Empire
when producer Gary Kurtz noticed the original costumes, which
had been recycled from the first film, were showing excessive
wear and tear.

Well-used, the piece displays some wear from use and time
spent in storage, including discolouration and cracks to the
white plastic; and the communicator ear piece on the left side
of the helmet is no longer present. The helmet remains overall
in good condition. Dimensions: 29 cm x 29 cm x 30 cm (11 ½”
x 11 ½” x 12”)

No that's ESB, the mk2 kits were made very late on to add to the re-used 77 kits that were crap by then... People see the bubble lens and think ROTJ without knowing the history

Lol, I am the Expert on The Costume Folks. This is not a screen used helmet from ESB. This is a helmet that was made with the rest of the armor for tour purposes and sold to promoters in groups of two. Esb helmets were all sandblasted and then repainted ANH helmets made of hdpe. The rest of the armor was reused from ANH. one suit from the builds for the tours accidentally made it into the film during a pick up shot. The person that bought this tour helmet should return it for a full refund as it was improperly listed as seen used. The so called expert that wrote about this in his book is an amateur and misled people with his mk 2 description is a guess he ventured and is not close to correct. I have owned 2 anh helmets from the film, a rotj stormtooper suit and also one of the first tour stormtrooper suits made for the super live action adventure show in Japan. I have also been hired by LFL to find, train and Cato all the remaining anh suits, helmets, boots and weapons at the archives.

You can fool no one, they are very different.
