Der Geher in Hamburg: Bergedorf

I am Der Geher and I am walking through Bergedorf. From the train station I walk through the pedestrian zone past the church of St. Petri and Pauli from 1502 and the church of St. Mary from 1967. The moated castle houses a museum. Along the Bille on the Schillerufer, the route heads north and then through a residential area. After the water tower of 1902 follows in the Bergedörfer Gehölz the highest point of Bergedorf. The Doktorberg with 43m.

As early as 1275 Bergedorf rose to the status of a city, although it was administered by Hamburg and Lübeck for most of the time (about 450 years). It was not until 1868 that Bergedorf became part of Hamburg and has been a city district since 1937. The name comes from the hillside on which the village is situated. Coming from the Vier- und Marschlanden it must seem very steep.

Sehr schönes Video. Wenn ich Videos von Bergedorf sehe, ist es so, als ob ich die altbekannten Wege mit meinen Grosseltern durch Bergedorf wieder abspaziere. Lang ist's her. Von 1964 ( Geburt in Bergedorf) bis 1990 (Tod meines Grossvaters).

Oh, wie hat sich Bergedorf verändert war zuletzt vor 35Jahren dort mit meiner Frau. Noch etwas früher im vor Schulalter und dann in den Sommerferien, war mein Ferien Domizil der Heinrich Heine Weg 22. Ganz ehrlich es war damals schöner, es war ganz erbaulich das alles nochmals zusehen, aber auch bisschen traurig 😪
