Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers (NES) - Retro Gaming Review

This week I played a popular licenced title based on a cartoon. Rescue Rangers is a sidescrolling platformer released for the NES by Capcom in 1990. There's no case to big, no case to small. If you need help just call ch-ch-ch-Chip and Dale!

I guess the damsel in distress plot is a bit formulaic. At least with Gadget, she's being kidnapped for her brains and not because the villain has the hots for her. She was always the best character in the show. I loved that episode where she took on the cola cult.

This is one of those games I play when I want to play an NES game but don't feel like being particularly challenged.

ONE OF THE EASIEST GAMES TO BEAT OF ALL TIME BUT SUPRISINGLY FUN. THE MUSIC IS REAL COOL AND THE BOSS FIGHTS ARE FUN.

Such a fun game I had it. My Uncle Steve got us our first Nintendo with a ton of games and Chip n Dale was one of them!

Oh Lord I forgot the song, now it's stuck in my head. I remember getting to rent this a couple of times from the grocery store on a Friday, Great Success.

Played this nes game when I was 8 in 1992 took me 4 hours to beat it loved the cartoon series use to watch it when I was 7 in 1991 until I was 9 in 1993 aired it on cbs at the time ducktales was a great cartoon the ducktales video game on nes was a lot of fun too🍿

I got this game for my 7th birthday and my cousin and I played it immediately. Less than 10 minutes later were at each other’s throats cause we played in co-op mode.

Still own this game after 34 years, the techno is great but the sequential 2 person player mode can seem poor on space maneuverability. Fun and tough.

@Isaac Zavala (not sure why I can't reply directly) Mr. Gimmick wasn't released here, so I'm probably not going to be picking that up anytime soon. Unless I can find a not terribly priced repro, which I don't think is too likely.

Its a fun sugar rush type game, and yes the co-op is chaotic.

This was one of my childhood faves and then I sold it along my other old NES games, however I got it back when I got and FC Twin (however I may get a different Fami-clone system in the future). And once I played through it, I realized that I still got it! By sayin' that, I mean I can beat this in no time. Ducktales and Tiny Toon Adventures are my favorite NES games that are based on animated series.
