There's a bit at 1:12:37 ish where Matt taps Dom's shoulder and mouths "...Glastonbury" And Dom starts grinning like crazy. This was the biggest festival they'd ever headlined and they'd been dreaming this moment would come, and that's the moment these three bros realised they'd actually done it

I was at the front of this crowd, aged 17. The atmosphere was totally electrifying. Probably the best night of my life and hands down the best live performance I've ever been present at. I watch this back every few years and it makes my hair stand on end just like it did on the night. I'm super grateful to Muse for giving me that experience and memory.

Anyway, they smashed the entire Glastonbury existence here. I heard people doubted them after knowing they'd be the headliner, saying they're nobody and all. These three heads are magnificent talents.

This was the weekend I discovered Muse. They closed the festival on Sunday night. The rest of our crew went to the Other stage for Orbital, but matey suggests we check out the Muse lads instead. Holy shit, that was a good call!

I've been taking some time this week to remind myself how important Muse are. Like many I kind of fell away from them after the release of Black Holes & Revalations but I saw them on this tour and it was sublime. I also used to have a home made bootleg of this that I taped off the BBC and burned to DVD in one of my university's computer labs, and I watched it religiously. Hullabaloo is amazing but I think this is the pinnacle of the band and even if they never do anything better than this they're still one of the best British bands of all time.
