I used to not like the Japanese voice for Goku, but after watching Super and then OG DB in Japanese, I can see how Nozawa brings a certain country familiarity and innocence to Goku that isn’t the same for the dub. She really makes it seem like Goku is a country goof that never went to school and it really makes her Gohan voice stand out. Legendary voice actor. I hope she’s able to do this for a long time.

The difference between adult Gohan and Goku is amazing. It's a very similar voice. Gohan sounds more cultured, considerate and subdued, while Goku is more homegrown, "country", care-free and excitable. They sound related but entirely separate. She's a treasure.

What I find the most impressive is how fast she’s able to switch voices. She’s able to change from her Goku voice to her Goten voice to her Gohan voice incredibly fast. Legendary doesn’t even begin to describe it.
