Hi Jonathan, I'm one of the new users of OpenShot and I should say that I have already fallen in love with this application.
While I'm still going through your previous Tutorial Videos on YouTube, I look forward to the videos that have been featured in this latest version of OpenShots.
The inclusion of "Captions" is a big game changer and I don't have to go elsewhere to add the captions to the videos - THIS HAS REDUCED MY LOAD. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU AND YOUR TEAM FOR THIS INCLUSION!

I'm exploring the possibilities of copying the caption format to all other captions at the click of a button. In other words, I'm trying to set the Master template, such as the background color, font color, size, padding, etc, to be uniform across all the captions that I create in my project. Depending on the video/audio/image, only the text ought to change.

Really love this program, but the audio and video lags with the new updates, its not keeping up with the playback. Uninstalled completely from my server and reinstalled. Still having issues this morning. We have a video to upload this weekend 😥

Bad experience with 2.6 😢😢 video not working properly

Hands down best free video editor. Heck, beats many paid editors. Also very intuitive. Eased me into video editing, no problems. Many, many thanks!
As for a feature suggestion. The reason why I often have to use powerdirector is for the video effects. Creating and adding these takes a lot of time I understand. Though perhaps if there was an option to add (import) effects, others could create them. Like with audacity. I can import third-party addons. Others with knowledge could create the effects and together build a library. Need a certain effect? Look in the library, see if it's available. Yes? Install it and done. No more need to fire up a bloated commercial program.

All of this looks useful, but there was no audio from Openshot anymore. So I have to download the previous update

Don't upgrade to 2.6 until they fix the bug, the play back in the editing window is so slow, even all the FIXES they recommend don't work, stick with 2.5 until its all fixed. check out the forums if you don't believe me.

Dear Mr. Jonathan. I was using your OpenShot version 2.5 for quite sometime and it was working fine. I was happy working on it. But then I installed this new version 2.6 and when I use it to edit my videos, every now and then it crashes and the display disappears! I need to click on the icon again to restart the whole process and begin again from where I left off. It is so frustrating and a waste of time. I don't know what to do. Could you suggest a way out of the problem? Thank you.

Hi and thank you for this nice new version. I've got the 2.6.1 but 2 problems : no sound and speed very low in preview window while editing a sequence. The export is ok for the video speed and the sound but I can't achieve fine cropping if I don't hear any sound. Do you know how to fix this problem ? I'm using a PC on Windows 7. Thanks for your help !

Bonjour!! J’ai regardé tous tes vidéo!! Sur openshot, est-ce que tu vas pouvoir faire un vidéo avec la nouvelle versions?? J’aimerais bien copier les n boucle plusieurs séquences, mais sur vraiment des longues durées, je te donne un exemple je peux mettre pendant 5 min pE une fois vingtaine de vidéo de relaxation en image, avec des transitions mais ensuite je veux recopier la même séquence avec la même transition pendant 3 heures, il y a t’il un moyen ou je dois le faire manuel un à la fois??? Car c’est les mêmes vidéos qui se répète, puis il ont une transition entre chaque, 1 seule bande audio, je cherche vrm savoir si je peux copier en automatique, au lieu que ma séquence apparaît une seule fois est-ce possible que dans le détails des ma séquence je sélectionne que chaque vidéo apparaît plusieurs fois??
