"Imagine" is one of the most absurd songs ever written. I continue to be amazed at the number of people conned by it. I there's nothing to die for, there's nothing to live for is the realization that came to me immediately upon hearing that drivel.

My pop would play this album to me as a baby if I cried through the night. It really imprinted on me. Everytime i hear a song from this album it's like a collage of life pictures in my head. Damn, I miss my parents.

This is the song that points out John Lennon's lack of empathy and huge disconnect with the average person. Elton John even hated John Lennon's lifestyle of extravagance while telling others to give up everything. While Lennon and Yoko lived in the entire top floor of the Dakota Building in NY. Elton sent them a Christmas Card with the message: "Imagine six apartments, It isn't hard to do. One is full of fur coats, another just for shoes".
