So if the DAC is using its own clock, which just about all do for asynchronous connection, what really is the advantage of the bridge from a clocking standpoint? Some of these bridges even allow for even more expensive external clock additions to be attached and it would seem to me it's all for nothing if the DAC is going to do its own thing.

Is there a way to stream all the sound signal from the computer to streamer?

For example
using web browser to play youtube video
or using player software to play video/music
then send all those signal to the streamer

Will it be better than using computer connect to dac via usb?
Becasue streamer is better than computer.

Thank you for the great detailed review as always. I have a very rudimentary question. I stream Tidal music and my audio system consists of a MacBook computer, which is connected to the Brooklyn DAC via a USB cable. Do I need a streamer for a better sound, or am I already using a streamer somewhere in my system? I know I stream Tidal music but I don't see a physical streamer anywhere in my system. Thank you.

Hans, If you have a certain budget for a streamer / bridge and dac. Would a combination sound better for the same money or would you be better off separates?

The advantage of a combination is short signal paths and you cut down on cables.

With a separate system, it is easier to upgrade step by step in the future. Where do you think you get the most sound quality for your money?

What i am concerned about is the clock of the network bridge against which the bits are sended to recieving dac, is there no way to make it asynchronous ? i.e. the recieving dac clock determines it ? Is it possible via usb class 2 connection between them? That would make the audio bridge very cheap.
