I've never been a huge fan of the SC Trainer but I feel bad for the folks that are. Seems like every new version it's a completely different shoe

I’m still waiting to start wearing my last pair of V1. What a great shoe! They should’ve never messed with it.

Got my v2s on sale last week for $122 on NB website. Can’t wait to run in them.

i love V2 it's the go to everyday shoe, no matter the workout. just bought the V3. first impression is stiffer, looking forward for my first run

Great to see you and Regina running with Yowana. I enjoyed those conversations. I have the Neo Vista so there's not really a place in my rotation for the SC Trainer.

I ran in the v2 this morning. I haven't used it that much yet, because the v1 (current pair over 400 km) is just soooo much better! Yes, the v2 has a slightly more aggressive feel, but I can still move a lot faster, with less effort in the v1. And I really miss the higher stack in the v2. Bring back the v1! I probably won't be trying the v3. Aside from still having a fresh pair of v1 on backup, New Balance's pricing is just too much on certain shoes in Europe, even at a discount (if you manage to find any). And they completely changed the character of the shoe again, so it's an expensive gamble.

I presume the FuelCell midsole compound in the SC Trainer v3 is the same 80:20 EVA-PEBA blend as in the Rebel v4. After 1-2 runs (maybe 15 miles), the Rebel opened up beautifully for me. I could see that midsole flavor performing very well on a super-trainer platform.

💯 on the v2 being sneaky speed day shoe, especially for longer intervals. I would alternate takumi Sen and sc trainer v2 week to week. A lot of reviews said use case was easy paces but the foam collapsed too much and gave me achy shins and ankles. Neo Vista after 115 miles starting to weaken to that level too. :/ but I love everything mizuno is doing

I just picked up a pair of the v2 and love them. Wish I could find more of this one on sale. NB in the UK still charging full price. Managed to get my pair on sale at a local running shop but they only had a single pair. I'll be keeping an eye out as I defo want another pair or 2 to future proof. Wasn't able to try the v3. They only had the Rebel and didn't like the feel of those as much. Plan was to buy a daily trainer and then a trainer/race day shoot and guess I went in reverse. Now to find a daily trainer better for those easy runs, although the v2 do nicely with that too.

Thanks for your update sir. Glad I chose the cielo x over this even though it was $100 more

I assume, like every other shoe in the New Balance lineup, this shoe comes in a wide fit edition, for those worried about the tapered toe box.

I also consider if runners that are in the Clydesdale category would like this shoe also with a foam that be more firm and gradually break in.

I loved everything about the 2... Except the super soft inward front foot role... After 20k could not use it ever again

I really lived version 1 and I regret not buying them on sale.

The V2s are currently on sale here at $60. Should I buy them? I have the SC trainer V3s and have ran about 70KM in them an I absolutely love them, so much so that I got 2 more pairs. Is the V2 an interesting option since I already have the V3 and the V2s are now at $60? I've never tried the V2s, only had the More V4 and the Invincible 2.

Thanks for the video. Given the minimal price difference (at least in the UK) would you pick up the SC Elite v4 over the Trainer? I absolutely love my Elite v4 and I’m wondering if I would be better off getting a second pair for . Any major differences? Specs are very similar, the Elite is a tad lighter…is that it?

I have the v2 but as a 240# runner wondering if i would activate the firmer v3 midsole and get similar resilience. The v2 isnt super stable but great if you land midfoot.

Cant waot to tey V3. Was a big fan of V1 which was more stable than i expected. The V2 is ok but i dont see myself reaching for it as much as i had thought. Really want to try v3 and see if some of that v1 awesomeness is in there.

Can you please do a comparison between the sc trainer v3 and the puma dviate nitro 3? I am trying to decide which one to get for long runs+ tempo and speedier stuff.
