I’ve encountered that before. It is a clocking issue that can happen sometimes with external clocking devices. I suspect it has something to do with the internal clock in the computer being slightly out of phase with the external clock. Usually recording for a moment, then stop recording will fix the problem. Quitting and relaunching the DAW works too.
It does sound cool.
I wish there was a way to control it.
But ouch! 30 minutes!

This happened me a couple years ago, when filming a live session. I took my equipment but the venue had its own interface and mixer. They told me to use theirs because it was “convenient”. I connected my computer to it and hit record. When I got home I and reviewed the audio I wanted to die
