While the Golden Girls famous house may have been a set-up creation, each of the show's leading ladies had their own real-life residences. Betty White, who played Rose, lived in a charming home filled with mementos from her long and successful career in Hollywood. Bea Arthur, who portrayed Dorothy, lived in a grand estate in Brentwood that was a far cry from the modest Golden Girls house. Rue McClanahan, who played Blanche, had a modern penthouse in the Encino neighborhood, while Estelle Getty, who played Sophia, resided in a cozy apartment in Los Angeles.
