I'm just glad that going to therapy is getting more and more normalised among artists

I have respect for him reflecting like this and being fully honest about himself as a human. Yet, I feel a romanticization of putting ANOTHER “ride-or-die” woman through this kind of stuff. I’ve been there, trying to help a man, encourage him to break generational curses while he’s breaking
you. Nope

I respect Kendrick as an artist but I can’t lie and say that I’m not disappointed knowing he disrespected the mother of his kids like this.

“Sacrificing” himself by confessing his “sins” and being the one to air out his own dirty laundry in order to connect with his community and let people know that he’s just like them. He understands the position he’s in as a role model/idol and maybe some people perhaps look at him as a “God” like figure. However, the moral(e) of the story is… If he can get through these tough circumstances so can you.

Huge L … we as men unfortunately dog the purest women out of boredom or foolish pride. Lust is equally as dangerous as all them drugs and drinks. I advise y’all to pray on your addictions and get clean. I hurt an angel before due to the same thing. SMH. Stay blessed y’all. Repent!

That album was fire. I honestly never listened to Kendrick the right way, but he's such a breath of fresh air for hip hop and always has such a deep good message.

That song made me cry, The vulnerability, honesty, the rawness. The truth

nah why are cheaters always praised for being honest about cheating meanwhile the cheated-on partner is the one going through way more pain. kendrick’s a great artist and this album was great but can we just stop acting like cheating is a brave thing to do, there are so many options to not cheating on your partner if you feel like you want to have sex with other people: breaking up, talking about it with them, exploring a consensual open relationship etc. cheating is inherently dishonest and cowardly and i’m not gonna redraw that line for my fav artists

I'll be honest. I've been tired of the "man goes to therapy and realizes he treated his woman like shit" trope.

Men keep getting applauded for doing the bare minimum and women are consistently taught to be unreasonably forgiving. If the roles were reversed, Kendrick probably wouldn't be with Whitney. But everybody's patting him on the back for simply admitting to all this.

It's very weird.

This album made me sad cause Kendrick is someone I think highly of and him admitting to all these falls makes you realize anyone is susceptible to failure

This is exactly what made Eminem a legend and now K Dot a legend. They used their art to speak about their weakness and craft their rhymes to show they humans just like any of us.

A lot of folks sex addiction issues come from traumatic childhood experiences, a topic our community doesn't grapple with enough.

This man hits nerves no other artist could ever hit. We've witnessed something special seeing this man grow into what he is now after consistently being the most anticipated at all levels since the beginning.

Kendrick is the kind of success story that encourages me as a underground artist with a small following. Seeing how he’s developed his skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity he’s been giving has been inspirational! Mans has quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. Dude is too nice! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to Kendrick🔥

Kendrick is a great hip hop artist, if y'all looking for those club bangers/street anthems this album ain't for you. Who wants to hear rappers talk about women, jewelry, cars, it gets old and have to grow up. Look at Drake still in his same lane making pop hits, ain't nothing wrong but that's his formula, this is Kendrick formula. It's really easy don't like it skip to the next album. Eventually y'all will grow past the fuckery in hip hop and listen to something deep to think about, trust YOU WILL get there and understand the music
